Healing Bodies, Healing Communities
Wellness + Civic Engagement
Because I dream of living in a community where we live closer to the land, the water, and each other. Where we move closer together rather than farther apart.
This vision requires intention, commitment, and practice. It holds the truth that healing requires us to fix broken and unjust systems and structures that are the root cause of so much crisis and dis-ease.
Commit to doing the DEEP work.
As the descendent of Norwegian settler-colonizers, living upon stolen Anishinaabe land in what is now called northern Minnesota, my ancestors are calling me toward healing and repair. My bones, this land, the trees, and water have a story to tell. I am grateful to Indigenous communities who continue to work tirelessly to protect the land, water, and all of earth’s beings in a good way.
This labor of love is offered in solidarity with local Indigenous communities who have always been and continue to be the original stewards of this land.
To commit to doing this deep healing we need some serious self-care strategies and support.
“The biggest ah-ha moment I had was when you feel you’re too busy to get away, you likely need it more than you know. The breadth and depth of the varied practices along with the fresh air and sunshine breaks made it an incredibly healing day. ”
